Today marks the day I am back to work after a health scare. For over the past month, I have been hospitalized and transferred from inpatient to outpatient experiences to get to the bottom of some chemical imbalances in my brain. I’ll say it more concisely and let’s face it; I’m a little crazy.
I’ve been dealing with paranoia, hallucinations, and hypomanic episodes that led the professionals to officially diagnose me with BiPolar II. Although the diagnosis isn’t surprising to me as I have a vast family history with the disorder, it is still jolting to me to recognize the condition within myself at this time.
