I’ve been off work for a little while due to some complications with my ol’ brain.

I start back up tomorrow.

Immediately, I recognize that same old familiar feeling of overwhelm when opening up my email to begin deciding what is most important to tackle for today. I had that same feeling every morning before I entered a crisis this past summer. Here I am again.

Yet, this time, I have a small and subtle voice reminding me that priorities shouldn’t be set for me by checking my email in the morning. Instead, priorities should be set by me in the morning well before I even crack open my email. This will continue to be an important life lesson for me in the days, weeks, months and years again; I am sure of it.

Anyone have any tricks up their sleeve they are willing to share?

I’d be much obliged. 🙂
