I rarely get chills, but had them for nearly half of this whole song. I really identified on a deep level with this sort of lament of what I would presume to be a background that emphasized masks of joy over honesty and authenticity of which true joy can take root in. That is my reaction to this song at least and how it met me where I am. I would love to hear yours.
